Tech Trek:
Nomination Through Selection
1.
All students must be nominated by a science or math teacher. If you are home-schooled, the nomination may come from a non-family member who is familiar with the student's academic pursuits.
2.
All nominated students are contacted and asked to apply for Tech Trek. The on-line application process includes general information about the student and some questions about their STEM interest.
3.
Each student (and a parent(s)/guardian(s)) who applies will participate in an interview. The interview will take place in-person on the UAH campus or live-video for those who live far from campus.
4.
The Tech Trek Planning Committee undertakes the selection process which includes a review of the student's application, interview, and teacher nomination. Tech Trek typically interviews over 100 students for 64 camper slots.
5.
Selected students will be notified by mail and will need to register for camp. The registration process includes medical forms, parent/guardian permission forms, and submitting the $50 camp fee.
